The KIES Quick Release Hood Latch for the G8x/G2x/G42/A90 BMW/Supra is an incredibly simple OEM+ modification that is a total game changer.
Designed and engineered by KIES, in New Jersey, our quick-release hood latch is precision crafted from stealth black anodized 6061 billet aluminum, to replace the flimsy plastic factory part. By upgrading, you will immediately notice how incredible it feels in the hand and the positive engagement of the hood release.
However, we didn’t stop there. We wanted to think outside the box and make the tool multi-purpose. Therefore, we added a quick release feature, which enables you to quickly remove it from the vehicle. As you look at the design, you’ll notice two additional features. First, it features a wedge, that was specifically designed to lift the trunk liner in the back of the vehicle. When Bmw designed these cars, they made it difficult to access the battery area, without a tool. This, however, makes no sense, especially if an emergency arises. Not only can you easily lift the trunk liner up, It also features a built-in 10 mm hex, which can be used to easily disconnect, battery, terminals and more.
