For those of you looking to avoid using a laptop in the car with bootmod3, you can use our iOS and Android apps and connect to the car over WiFi. This device is simply a convenience option to bootmod3 users and currently carries no additional vehicle functionality over the laptop based software OBD Agent.

BM3 WiFi Adapter connects to the vehicle's OBD port using an ENET cable and makes that connection available to the mobile apps through the BM3_NET WiFi network. 

NOTE: Appropriate bootmod3 software license is required for use. BM3 WiFi Adapter is built using open source hardware and preconfigured. This can be done as a DIY project. In the case of DIY builds we do not offer tech support in cases of any issues with the DIY built device.

**** BM3 WiFi Adapter is intended for use with mobile iOS and Android apps. Laptop (macOS and Windows) setups do not use the BM3 WiFi adapter

**** iOS and Android apps can also use a direct ENET cable connection as long as your mobile device supports Ethernet (iOS 10.2+ and Android 6.0.1+)

**** BM3 WiFi Adapter is NOT required to use bootmod3 on your vehicle
