AutoTecknic is now the US distributor of CR Racing. As an introduction to the brand to the North American market, we are proud to introduce CR Racing's dry carbon strut bar for the G8X-platform designed to add rigidity to the chassis of a car around the suspension pick-up points. This can significantly improve the handling characteristics as the suspension geometry alters less under cornering forces which helps to minimize chassis flex during the hardest cornering or turns. CR Racing's Dry Carbon Strut Bar for the G8X-platform benefits both streets-driven and track-driven M3 and M4s.
With the same development mindset as AutoTecknic; CR Racing's Dry Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Bar is the ultimate no-compromises solution to the OEM Steel strut tower bar equipped with G8X M3 and M4. Other than the mounting brackets, these are made 100% in 3K pre-preg Toray carbon fiber materials sourced directly from Japan.
Like AutoTecknic, CR Racing strictly uses pre-preg (dry carbon) carbon fiber on their performance products.
Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon. This resulted in the optimal resin to carbon ratio for strength and lightness.
CR Racing's carbon fiber components are finished with the same AutoTecknic certified clear coat, which is applied in three separate production stages to ensure a perfect surface finish every time.
